Neil started the game by caddying for his grandfather at the age of nine. Neil has won several Pro-Am events including shooting a 71 at the Phoenix Open Pro-Am. He scored a career best round of 69 at Jeremy Ranch in Salt Lake City. His first hole-in-one was at the Sunriver North course in central Oregon. His greatest golf thrills were meeting Arnold Palmer, Bob Hope and playing at Augusta National with Tom Landry. Enjoying golf as a way to relax during the off-season, Neil began to play more competitively and to work on his game. Many NFL players either attended or held their own tournaments, and then the American Century Lake Tahoe Championship drew them all in for the biggest competition of them all. Neil played in the Lake Tahoe tournament for 20 years, and although he doesn’t compete anymore he still travels all over the country attending Celebrity Golf Tournaments. The June Jones tournament in Hawaii and the Drew Brees Tournament in Carlsbad, CA are two of his favorites. He also attends the Jamie Moyer Golf Event in Las Vegas. Another favorite is attending the Phoenix Open each year, where he held his own Quarterback Shootout during his time with the Phoenix Cardinals.
